The times are changing with technological progress and emerging technologies.

Scientific discoveries and innovations enhance the conditions for steady economic expansion and social evolution. This is a multilinear process, that can be considered as the interference of many factors. 

The business world is decidedly involved and complex. It tends to improve the customer experience continuously. The desire to adopt new technologies feels cutting-edge and is profitable. Nonetheless, there are small and consistent steps that should be performed before any digital transformation.  

How to engage with new technology?

  1. Have proofs of concept. The goal is to understand the technology and its potential along with its current limitations and applicabilities, and also ensure that the impact will meet and improve the existing business model and the overall strategy pattern.

  2. Share. Present these findings to the relevant stakeholders and engage with the community to get validation and valuable insights. Find a few interesting companies that is utilizing the technology and get the first-hand validated knowledge. This generates a basis of learning which you can build on.

  3. Build. A new solution is a valid option once the implementation is core to your business or has great revenue potential. This can either be done with your existing team or in collaboration with outside partners who have the necessary expertise. Create a roadmap that describes what you’ve learned and outlines a recommended step-by-step process for building the solution.

  4. Partner. Sharing development costs and facilities will help you get good value for money while sharing knowledge can enforce the process. The essence of collaborative partnership is for all parties to mutually benefit from working together.

  5. Evaluate. Perform an evaluation of the new technology once it’s up and running. Identifying where things are going wrong and right allows you to reward adoption, deal with individual concerns, correct problems and successfully integrate the new technology in your company.
